2. Applicable Indian Regulations

Geni Bill operates in full compliance with Indian digital laws and standards, specifically:

Information Technology Act, 2000: WeGeni ensures that digital records, identity verification, and information handling practices comply with the requirements of the IT Act.

IT Rules, 2011 - Reasonable Security Practices and Sensitive Personal Data: We apply structured policies to ensure that personal data is handled with care - minimizing risk, maintaining user consent, and limiting unnecessary disclosure.

3. Security & Data Protection

WeGeni has implemented the following safeguards to secure the data processed on the Geni Bill platform:

• SSL/TLS Encryption for all data transmissions
• Role-based access control and login authentication for each user
• Cloud hosting infrastructure with built-in redundancy and regular data backups
• Restricted internal access to customer data, governed by access control policies

We also follow privacy-by-design principles - minimizing data collection, securing codebases, and avoiding over-retention of user data.

4. Customer Data Privacy

Geni Bill collects only the minimum required data to provide its services, such as:

• Store details (e.g., store name, contact info)
• Product and stock entries
• User credentials and staff access logs
• Sales transactions and billing summaries

We do not collect or process sensitive data such as Aadhaar numbers, full bank account details, health records, or biometric data—unless explicitly provided by the business owner and legally allowed.

5. Third-Party Compliance

Geni Bill works with verified and compliant third-party services, including:

Razorpay (Payment Gateway): All online payments are processed using Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS and ISO 27001 compliant. Sensitive card or UPI data is not stored on our servers. Razorpay securely handles all payment details per their security standards.

Billing Printer Integration: We support third-party printers and accessories that integrate with Geni Bill. These devices are used locally by the customer and do not transmit sensitive data to third parties via our platform.

6. Limitations of Liability

Currently, Geni Bill is not certified under:

• SOC 2 (Service Organization Controls)
• ISO/IEC 27001 (Information Security Standards)
• GDPR, HIPAA, or CCPA frameworks

If your business operates in a highly regulated sector (e.g., finance, insurance, healthcare), we strongly recommend conducting a risk assessment or obtaining legal guidance before onboarding.
